Meet Max!
Max is a 2-year-year-old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix who weighs about 16 pounds and is ready to find a family to call his own. This handsome black-and-tan boy has a sweet personality and is described as well-behaved by his foster family. Max loves spending time outdoors, exploring the yard, and playing with his favorite toys—especially squeaky ones! When playtime is over, he's happy to relax and enjoy the company of his people. Max is crate trained and sleeps quietly in his crate at night. He's also doing well with housetraining and will go to the door when he needs to go outside. Because his recall is still a work in progress, he currently enjoys outdoor time safely on leash. Max loves people and would do best in a home where he can be a cherished member of the family. He is expected to do well with older children who can respect his space and routines. His compatibility with other dogs is still being evaluated, but Max would likely be happiest in a home where he doesn't have to compete for attention. He is not recommended for a home with cats. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a sweet nature, playful spirit, and plenty of love to give, Max may be the perfect match for you.
