Ideal Home

Ongoing Health

All dogs adopted from our shelter are spayed/neutered and vaccinated before they go to their forever homes. We will provide any additional known health information as it becomes available.

Training & Support

Capelette is not yet house-trained, but with patience and consistency, she can learn. We recommend slow and cautious introductions to any resident pets after allowing your new dog time to decompress in your home.

Application Details:

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• All household members, especially those under 18 and any decision-makers, should be present to meet dogs.
• We can arrange dog-to-dog meet-and-greets for your current dog(s) at the shelter. Proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s) is required.

Transporation

Capelette is located at Chicago Animal Care and Control, 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL. The shelter is open daily from 12pm to 7pm. Walk-in visitors are welcome on a first-come, first-served basis. Please plan to arrive before 5:30pm if you wish to adopt on the day of your visit. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm can still view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm.
