Rufus has the kindest eyes and a scruffy little face that will melt your heart. This 2-year-old, 15 lb neutered Yorkie/Lhasa Apso mix is a true companion looking for his forever family. He was abandoned at an apartment complex and left to fend for himself for several days, but despite his past, Rufus remains incredibly sweet, trusting, and eager to love. He's a "Velcro dog" who loves being by his people's side, whether that's on the couch, following you from room to room, or happily settling into your lap. Rufus is affectionate, gentle, and has a happy, easygoing nature that makes him a joy to have around.

Ongoing Health
Rufus is currently a little underweight and is expected to reach a healthy weight of 18-20 lbs. He has been neutered. As a Yorkie/Lhasa Apso mix, Rufus will likely require regular grooming to keep his coat healthy and prevent matting.
Training & Support
Rufus is crate trained and settles quietly. He is still working on house training, but this is expected to improve with a consistent routine and after being neutered. Like many young dogs, he occasionally expresses himself with gentle play nibbles.

Transporation
Rufus is currently being fostered in Austin, Texas. Transport can be arranged by Wags to approved adopters, with transport running every few weeks.
