About Ginger Peaches the Little Best Friend

One look at those floppy little ears, that tiny compact body, and those sweet soulful eyes and youre DONE for. Ginger Peaches has this absolutely precious mix of tiny little baby and big dog trapped in a small body energy that is honestly impossible not to love. And dont let the pictures fool you either because she is actually pretty little in real life LOL. Shes this perfect medium-small size where shes easy to bring along on adventures, easy to snuggle, easy to spoil rotten, and fully convinced she belongs directly beside her person at all times. Which honestly... she does.

Ginger is a total people dog through and through. The type that loves hard, bonds deeply, follows you everywhere, and acts like your return home from Target was the greatest moment of her entire life. Her foster absolutely adores how excited she gets when she comes home because Ginger genuinely knows how to make her people feel special.

Watch her video and try not to fall in love with her adorable floppy ears:

Ginger Peaches is believed to be a pit bull/chihuahua mix approximately 10 months old and currently weighs 31 lbs. Yes... pit bull and chihuahua LOL. With rescue its always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age, but honestly whatever combination created this tiny girl absolutely nailed it. She somehow has features that make you go thats definitely a pittie mixed with little tiny dog qualities that make you question everything at the same time.

When it comes to people, Ginger is truly one of the sweetest girls ever. She absolutely loves her foster and is a huge cuddle bug that wants to be close to her person as much as possible. Shes affectionate, loving, and has that loyal little shadow personality where she naturally follows her foster around the house just wanting to be included in whatever is going on. Because she bonds so deeply to her people, she does get a little sad when she is away from her and prefers not being away from her humans for long periods.

Shes the type of dog that will thrive most with someone excited about having a true companion always by their side. Ginger has also been around kids ages 12 and 16 and has done great with them. She was affectionate, sweet, and comfortable around them. We have not seen her around younger children just yet, but based off of the personality weve seen from her so far, we think she has potential to do well with younger kiddos too and can always arrange meetings upon request.

Ginger has done well with the dogs we have introduced her to and has met dogs bigger than her, her size, and smaller with all kinds of personalities. What we have observed is that she tends to be more of a shy little slow burn socially at first rather than an instant OMG BEST FRIENDS kind of girl. When she met a whole group of new dogs all at once, she mainly hung back observing everything and letting the other dogs do their thing instead of immediately jumping into the chaos. After about 30 minutes and having space to settle in, her personality started opening up more and more. She seems to naturally gravitate toward calmer dogs and her foster says she especially loves playing with the older chihuahua mix in the home. One thing her foster really loves about her is how mindful and respectful Ginger is with her other dog that is also half blind. She doesnt come in hot trying to bulldoze everyone into nonstop play and overall has a very respectful, thoughtful way about her socially.

Ginger has such a fun balanced personality too because while she absolutely has playful energy and loves toys, she isnt bouncing off the walls like a crazy puppy 24/7. She LOVES stuffy toys and will happily entertain herself carrying them around, tossing them, or showing them off proudly. Her foster also says Ginger LOVES to zoom and truly believes her dream home would have a nice backyard where she can run full speed, stretch her legs, and get all her happy little zoomies out. But at the same time, because shes smaller, quiet, and has a nicely balanced energy level overall, we could absolutely see her thriving in an apartment setting too as long as shes getting proper exercise, socialization, walks around the neighborhood or park, and playtime throughout the day. Shes adaptable in that sense and really just wants to be included in life with her people.

Ginger is crate trained, potty trained, and already knows commands like sit and shake... and honestly the shake part is ridiculously cute because she will shake with BOTH paws like shes trying extra hard to impress you LOL. Between the adorable floppy ears, the cuddly personality, the tiny little body, the sweet affectionate nature, and the way she loves her people with her whole heart, Ginger has that special kind of personality that sneaks up on you fast. Shes not just cute. Shes the kind of dog that becomes your little sidekick, your couch buddy, your shadow, and one of your favorite parts of everyday life.

We are willing to test Ginger with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
