Mojo

Mojo is an 8½ year old male German Shepherd with a comeback story that is truly impressive! He and his mom were found abandoned and living in squalor. Mojo came to us in 2024 in poor physical condition with severe genetic hip issues, making walking painful and movement limited. After successful bilateral hip surgeries, Mojo is now living his best life, running with enthusiasm and making up for lost time. He is wonderful with people, affectionate, gentle, and a complete love sponge once he bonds with you. Mojo is also good with other dogs, but his canine friends need to be respectful, as he cannot tolerate rough play due to his surgeries. He is best suited for children over 10 who understand how to interact gently with dogs. Cats and small animals are a firm no for Mojo. He is well-mannered, house-trained, and easy to live with, knowing how to settle and relax as part of a household.

Ideal Home

Mojo needs a securely fenced yard and a home where significant stair walking won't be required. He would do best with polite dog companions and children over 10 who understand how to interact gently with dogs.

Ongoing Health

Mojo has had bilateral hip surgeries to address severe genetic hip issues. He gets around well, but a home with fewer stairs is ideal.

Training & Support

Mojo is house-trained and knows how to settle and relax. He needs canine companions who are respectful and do not engage in rough play.
