Gunner may share a name with something bold and powerful, but this sweet boy is really just a soft-hearted pup learning that the world can be safe and kind. He can be timid when meeting new people or experiencing unfamiliar situations, but once he starts to feel comfortable, his affectionate and loving personality begins to shine through. Gunner enjoys cozy naps, gentle attention, and spending time with the other dogs in his foster home. Gunner came to us from a hoarding case involving more than 30 chihuahuas. Because of his past, he will need continued patience, guidance, and understanding while he continues building confidence and learning what life as a beloved family dog should look like. He absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion to help show him the ropes. With time, love, and reassurance, Gunner is going to make an incredibly loyal and rewarding companion. He just needs a family willing to help him continue blossoming at his own pace. He was born in May 2024.

Ongoing Health
All of our dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of transport.
Training & Support
Gunner will need continued patience, guidance, and understanding while he continues building confidence and learning what life as a beloved family dog should look like.

- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- The adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call.
- Our adoption fee is $350 plus transport. This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old.
- We reserve the right to deny any application that is deemed unsuitable for the animal.
- Adoptions are NOT on a first come- first serve basis. Our sole purpose is to find the best possible home for the animals that fall under our care.
Transporation
Gunner is currently being fostered in Fort Worth, Texas. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue.
