Sprinkles Donut - Local Boy

Sprinkles Donut is an approximately 5-year-old, 11-pound Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix. He was rescued from a hoarder situation along with 11 other dogs. Despite the difficult circumstances, Sprinkles is described as a sweet, smiley, and congenial little guy who is excited to be with people. He enjoys playing with toys and being close to his humans or other dogs. He is doing well in his foster home, sleeping through the night in a crate (though he can be nervous with crates initially) and has had no accidents in the house so far. He eats quickly, likely a habit from his past, and enjoys walks on a leash. He has a good jump and can get onto the couch, so care should be taken to keep food out of reach. Sprinkles, along with his "Donut" littermates, love and adore people, get along with other dogs, and have previously lived happily with cats. All dogs in this litter are absolute sweethearts who just want to be loved and with their people.

Ideal Home

Sprinkles can be nervous with crates and will need time to adjust. He is also an agile jumper, so food left on tables should be avoided.

Ongoing Health

Sprinkles has received vaccinations and veterinary care. All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption.

Training & Support

Sprinkles is still learning about house training, but has had no accidents in his foster home. He also has not been a barker, but it is early in his foster stay. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.
