Barley

Barley is a survivor with a striking brindle coat and deep chocolate eyes that will capture your heart! This handsome Dutch Shepherd/Akita mix is around 4 years old and, despite being abandoned by previous owners, he's now thriving in his foster home. Barley enjoys sniffing around the yard, playing with his foster human and dog siblings, and soaking up all the affection he can get. He's learned that people can be kind and trustworthy and enjoys a good squeaky toy.

Ideal Home

Barley would do best in a calm, understanding home with people who believe in second chances. He cannot be in a home with small animals, especially chickens or cats.

Ongoing Health

Barley is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Barley may initially reject attempts to win him over with treats, but he is learning to trust and accept affection.
