Alfie is a little ball of sweet fun! This young Border Collie/Mountain Cur mix is about 7 months old and loves to play with both his human and doggie foster family, both old and young. He's progressing nicely with learning basic puppy manners and potty training, but will need a home where someone is present for most of the day to continue his education. Alfie is crate trained but would much prefer to be wherever his people are – he's got a serious case of FOMO! He'd do best in a home where he can be included in family activities or has the freedom to explore on his own once he's fully trained. He's shown only mild interest in the resident cat, standing, looking, and barking, but the cat remains unimpressed. Alfie is very food motivated, which makes training a breeze, and he absolutely loves to be snuggled. Could you be the one to give Alfie his forever home?
Ideal Home
Alfie needs a home where he can be included in family activities or have the freedom to explore. He also requires someone to be home most of the day to continue his training. He is not suited for a home where he would be alone for more than a couple of hours at a time.
Ongoing Health
Alfie is up-to-date on age-appropriate core vaccines, has been microchipped, and has had fecal testing and deworming. He is also on flea and tick preventative. As with all puppies, future medical costs are the responsibility of the adopter.
Training & Support
Alfie is still learning basic puppy manners and potty training, but is progressing well. He is crate trained but prefers to be with his people. First-time puppy adopters will be required to sign up for and pay in advance for a basic training class.
