Meet Angus! He's a big, goofy puppy who's looking for his forever family. Angus is a Bullmastiff mix, around 6 months old, and already weighs over 60 lbs. He's got a lot of love to give and is sure to bring a smile to your face with his playful antics.
Angus was found wandering near a creek with his sire and brought to the local shelter. Now, he's been vetted and is ready to find a loving home where he can continue to grow and thrive. As a puppy, Angus is still learning the ropes. He's working on his leash manners and can get a bit excited, but he's eager to please. He loves to play and would enjoy an active household.
Ideal Home
Angus would do best in an active household with older children. He enjoys playing with other dogs but is still learning how to manage his size and enthusiasm around them. Due to his size and playful nature, he's not the best match for homes with cats. A well-fenced yard is a must for Angus to safely explore and play.
Ongoing Health
Angus is neutered, up-to-date on all his vaccinations (including rabies and bordetella), and is heartworm negative. He's microchipped and currently on flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives.
Training & Support
Angus is learning to walk on a leash and can be a bit chewy on it, which is common for puppies. He's also doggie door trained, but we're still determining his full house-training status. He loves car rides but needs to be securely restrained. Patience and consistent positive reinforcement will be key to helping Angus succeed.
