Hi there! My name is Toffee, and I'm a 3-year-old, 52-lb female Australian Cattle Dog mix. While my breed might suggest high energy, I'm actually a pretty laid-back girl who loves cozy blankets, quiet time, and cuddling with my favorite stuffed toys. I spent a lot of my early life on the streets, so I'm still learning that people can be kind. Because of this, I can be a bit shy at first, but I've never shown any fear-based aggression. Once I feel safe, my sweet nature truly shines, and I form deep, loyal bonds with my people.
Ideal Home
I do very well with other dogs and coexist peacefully. I'm not especially playful, but I'm happy to share my space with canine friends, as long as they respect my naps, since being startled from deep sleep can be a little scary for me. I've also done well around cats. I haven't lived with children, but I would likely do best with older kids who can move slowly and give me time to build trust.

I'm crate trained and puppy pad trained, and I'm non-destructive when left out. I'm continuing to work on gaining confidence with leash walking and being outdoors. With patience, reassurance, and consistency, I continue to make progress every day.

Transporation
I am currently located in Texas and can be adopted either locally or out of state. We coordinate everything with our ground transport teams to ensure I arrive to my adopter safely and we keep the adopter in the loop every step of the way. Transport costs are included in the adoption fees. We also have our fosters video chat with potential adopters prior to adoption so that the adopter gets to see me and ensure it's a fit.
