Oh, hello there! I'm Loki, a charming and bundles of fun 2.5-year-old, 44-pound neutered lab mix. I was rescued as a stray and, though I didn't have use of my back legs initially, I've made astounding progress and can now stand and walk on my own! I just need a little help getting around sometimes. I love playing tug, catching a ball, going for walks in my wheelchair, and snuggling on the couch. I'm a well-behaved boy, crate-trained, potty-trained, and working on leash and basic obedience. I love attention and affection from my people and would do great with another dog pal. I'm an outgoing boy who loves playing with other dogs, but cats are a no thanks!
Ideal Home
An active home where I will have fun playtime and a couch to cuddle on! I will do great with another dog pal. I am gentle and loving, but I could knock a small kid over, so I will be best in a home with no kids or with older kids.
Ongoing Health
I need my wheelchair for walks and longer periods of activity. I can get around on my own on surfaces with grip, but I sometimes need help getting back up if I fall. I will need someone who can lift me in and out of the car and get me in and out of my wheelchair. I wear "male wraps" inside the house because I dribble pee and have occasional poop accidents if I get really excited or overexert myself. I am managed with a muscle relaxer and pain reliever daily for my spinal deformity and compression.
Training & Support
I am crate-trained, potty-trained, and working on leash and basic obedience training. I love to strut my stuff on walks and am acing basic obedience!
