Meet Cody! 🐾

Cody is a handsome Golden Retriever looking for an experienced, committed forever home where he can thrive. After being returned by a previous adopter, Cody came back to Tattered Paws for a fresh start. He has a bite history related to lacking structure in his first home, but he has made great progress through a board-and-train program and continued work with a professional trainer in foster care. Cody is smart, eager to learn, and loves staying active.

Ideal Home

Cody needs an experienced adopter who can provide structure, leadership, and ongoing training. He needs:

• A home without children
• No other dogs in the home, unless the adopter is highly experienced with behavioral cases
• At least 1.5 hours of daily exercise and enrichment

Training & Support

Cody completed a board-and-train program and continues working with a professional trainer in foster care. His adopter must remain committed to working with a trainer and continuing his training.

Application Details

• Adopters must agree to the Tattered Paws contract.
• If the adoption does not work out for any reason, Cody must be returned to the rescue.
• Adopters may not euthanize Cody without first contacting the rescue.
