Dowdy is full of playful energy and loves spending time with his people. He was found as a stray in a well-known dumping area in Dallas, left to fend for himself. Despite his rough start, he hasn’t let it dim his joyful spirit. He’s ready to leave the past behind and find a family who will love and care for him forever. Dowdy was born on July 16, 2022, and is currently being fostered in Fort Worth, Texas. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion, Dowdy is ready to bring joy and energy into your life.
Ideal Home
Dowdy would do best in a home with older kids who can handle his strength and enthusiasm, especially when he gets excited.
Ongoing Health
All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days.

Dowdy is house trained and crate trained.

- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- The adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call.
- Our out of state adoption fee for this pet is $200 plus a sponsored transport fee (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old.
- We reserve the right to deny any application that is deemed unsuitable for the animal.
- Our animal adoptions are NOT on a first come- first serve basis. Our sole purpose is to find the best possible home for the animals that fall under our care.
Transporation
Dowdy is located in a foster home in Texas, but is available for transport. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue.
