Puppy

This smart and cuddly pup is ready to learn and loves people! He's a handsome, red speckled Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog mix named Puppy. He was picked up as a stray and, despite being so sweet and good-looking, was never claimed. The vet estimates him to be about 11 months old.

Ideal Home

Puppy is aggressively friendly and wants to say hello to everyone he meets, both people and animals. He loves to be outside and is most active in the mornings. He enjoys running, grazing in the grass, and soaking up the sunshine. In the evenings, he's happy to relax on the couch with his family. He doesn't quite understand personal space and thinks he's a lap dog! He is curious about cats and may try to interact, but we recommend a home where he can have his own space or a very dog-savvy feline friend. He has a history of destroying furry toys, so durable toys like Nyla bones are best.

Ongoing Health

Puppy is housebroken, neutered, and vaccinated. He is not yet microchipped.

Training & Support

Puppy is eager to learn and responds well to treat rewards. He is learning to settle down for naps in the afternoon. He resists going into his kennel at night but settles down once inside. He sleeps well on a people bed but may want to get up earlier than desired for some. He tolerates showers but doesn't enjoy being towel-dried.
