Alder

Alder is a handsome 3-year-old Pyr who came to us from Texas, where the stray dog population is overwhelming. Thankfully, he is one of the lucky ones who made it out and is on his way to finding a loving, forever home.

Alder is a shy but friendly gentleman who is learning to show his excitement. He craves affection and attention and will likely master the Pyr paw in no time.

Ideal Home

Alder would do well in a home with a calmer, playful dog, as he is still learning how to interact with other dogs. He doesn't seem to mind cats. A home with children beyond the screeching years would likely be fine. An ideal home would have a fenced yard, but Alder also walks well on a leash, so a home without a yard is acceptable as long as he gets daily walks. He will likely not stay close to home if allowed to roam freely.
