About Bella, the Girl Who Never Stopped Hoping

Bella, a beautiful 1-year-old German Shepherd, was found tied to a post with a note, a sad beginning for such a young, loyal dog. Despite her past, Bella has blossomed into a bright, affectionate, and spirited girl who is ready to find her forever family. She weighs about 55lbs and is full of love and life.

Ideal Home

Bella is looking for an active home where she can continue to receive training and daily exercise. She would thrive with someone who appreciates a smart, goofy, and affectionate Shepherd. Due to her tendency to chase, a home without cats would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Bella is fully vetted and in excellent health. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and is on heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Bella is a quick learner and eager to please. She is fully housetrained and crate-trained, even taking pride in her crate as a treasure chest for her toys and treats. She walks nicely on a harness and knows "sit" and "stay." Bella is working on not jumping, as she gets very excited, and she may chew things when bored, so plenty of activity and appropriate toys will be key to her success. Her absolute favorite enrichment is a frozen peanut butter Kong!
