Cameo is looking to make more than a cameo appearance in your life- he wants a recurring role!! Actually, make that a starring role!! This very handsome, happy guy has a big smile and a wagging tail ready for everyone he meets. He was a previous PACC favorite, adopted in 2024, and has found himself back in the shelter because his family is moving. We’d love to see him get back into a loving home soon- and forever this time! In his home of over a year Cameo did well with kids, was well- behaved when left home alone, and was house trained. His former family said that he likes to go hiking, is an affectionate couch potato, loves toys, and loves to be near is people. “Cameo loves when we give him butt scratches, he likes music and actually sings along to over the rainbow. He needs slow introductions to people but after that he bonds well with others. He has a ton of energy and loves walks and just being outside. He has been trained and has learned so much. He is a great dog and a big sweetheart.” Here’s what Cameo’s volunteer friends have said about him: “Cameo has such a charming smile! I really enjoyed my time with him tonight. He loved playing fetch with a squeaky ball. I brought a rope toy for him and he carried it proudly in his mouth the entire walk back to his kennel too. He seems to really love toys. “Cameo is an energetic potato atop four stubby legs! I met him for the first time recently and he was polite in his kennel, sitting when I entered and waiting at the door before our exit. He seems to have a lot of love to give and has a silly and sweet personality that shines through after you spend a bit of time with him.” “Cameo is friendly and handles well in his kennel. Eager to exit and has lots of happy energy. Frequently checks back with his handler. He is treat motivated, sweet and people-oriented. When he got the zoomies, he kept running over to check on me (he loves playing tag!).” “Cameo loves to play fetch! He always brought the ball back, and at the end of our session understood “drop it”. Cameo was also very treat motivated, he sat for treats and is a very nice, energetic, playful and sweet boy.” “A great dog with lots of potential, especially with a family who would continue to work on training with him.” “I took Cameo to the yard to play in the pool. He had an absolute blast! He was having so much fun- I turned the hose on and he had fun running around chasing the water and got a case of the zoomies. I also worked with him on “sit” and then tossing a treat for him to catch. Cameo is a really fun dog!” “I took Cameo out for a walk this week and he's a polite dog. Patiently waited in the kennel without jumping and exited without issues. Minimal pulling during the walk and sat for me several times to earn treats. He's a nice guy!” Cameo also got an A+ on a day trip away from the shelter, where he went on a car ride and got to spend time exploring a park. He was described as lovable and sweet and did great in the car. Cameo has been social and playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’s an energetic guy who may like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. Give Cameo the starring role he deserves- ask to meet him today!!
