If you have a vacant lap, Wanda would be glad to keep it warm! Despite her cute, cuddly size, she wants the cuddling to be on her terms, as she doesn't always want to be fussed over. All this change in her life has been really tough on her, she can't help but be cautious and worried. She's longing for an understanding person, with a warm bed, treats, and the willingness to give her time and space to settle in. Wanda does enjoy having dog friends, but she can be picky about her canine companions. Slow introductions and having her own space will be important for her to adjust to a home with resident dogs. She will need to meet any canine companions prior to being adopted.

Ideal Home

Wanda needs to go to a home where there is another small dog to help boost her confidence and to play with! She must go to a home with a fenced-in yard and an adult-only home. She may do best with an owner who has had experience owning or caring for shy and fearful dogs.

Ongoing Health

Wanda has been spayed.

Training & Support

Wanda is a shy and fearful dog who will need time and space to settle into her new home. Slow introductions to new people and resident dogs are essential.
