Trix is an 8-month-old, 35-pound Pitbull mix with the sweetest, smartest soul, though she can be a bit shy at first. She and her brother were surrendered to a shelter, and while her brother has found a home, Trix needed extra time in foster care to build her confidence. She was undersocialized early in life and is initially fearful of humans, but she has never shown any reactivity, preferring to hide when unsure. Trix is incredibly quiet, observant, and learns very quickly; she figured out the doggy door within days! With patience and trust-building, she softens and will even play with toys and enjoy time with her people. She's a low-rider mix who will likely be a medium-sized dog when fully grown.
Ideal Home
Trix needs a home where someone is around more often than not, as she is still a puppy and needs consistent time to build trust. She would thrive with a confident canine companion to learn from, though adopters without another dog should have a solid plan for socialization and confidence-building.
