A little about them
Meet Shadow, a handsome, athletic German Shepherd, American Staffordshire Terrier, and American Pit Bull Terrier mix with an enormous heart. He is intelligent, loyal, affectionate, goofy, expressive, talkative, and devoted to his people. Shadow loves walks, car rides, patio time, errands, and lounging on the couch with his humans.
Shadow is food motivated, eager to learn, obedient, and responsive to redirection and structure. He walks nicely on leash overall and forms deep bonds with his people. He is active and needs daily walks, mental stimulation, enrichment, consistency, supervision, and continued training. Without enough outlets, his clever curiosity may lead to harmless mischief, such as counter surfing.
Ideal Home
Shadow is social with people and has generally done well around other dogs. He can become overstimulated and reactive around dogs that are barking intensely, reacting aggressively, or fighting, so he needs an adopter experienced with structure, boundaries, dog behavior, and managing arousal. He would thrive with someone who enjoys an active, affectionate constant companion.
Shadow is not suited to living with cats. He has done well with children under eight; his interactions with children eight and older are unknown.
Ongoing Health
Shadow is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is located in Houston, Texas.
Training & Support
