About Cally
Cally is a 3.5-year-old, spayed female Pitbull mix who weighs about 40 pounds. She's a high-energy, happy-go-lucky girl with a huge heart and an even bigger personality. Cally is playful, affectionate, curious, and endlessly kind, bringing joy and laughter wherever she goes. She loves other dogs of all sizes and plays beautifully with both males and females. She can play for up to two hours nonstop and would love a canine companion, though it's not required. Cally is also perfectly happy as an only dog, as long as she gets plenty of playtime and activity. She's excellent with children of all ages and is always gentle and friendly. Cally is also very welcoming to strangers and enjoys meeting new people. While she may pull on leash initially out of excitement, she calms down and walks much better once settled. Continued leash training will help her shine even more. Cally is fully crate trained, house-trained, and does great in a car kennel. She sleeps quietly through the night and can nap during the day with potty breaks and playtime. She is still learning to have full freedom indoors and needs supervision to prevent her from chewing on shoes or blankets. Cally doesn't suffer from separation anxiety and does best sleeping alone in her crate. At mealtime, Cally needs to be fed separately from other dogs due to resource guarding, though she does not guard food from humans. Feeding her in her crate works wonderfully. She does not guard toys or treats. Cally loves toys and enrichment and can entertain herself for long periods. She is very food motivated, making training fun and rewarding. One of her most charming traits is her biggest, silliest smile when receiving affection. She's also a world-class cuddler and behaves beautifully on the couch to keep her spot. Occasionally, she gets spontaneous zoomies that are sure to make you smile.
Ideal Home
Cally thrives with daily playtime and opportunities to run at least twice a day, a crate for decompression, plenty of toys, and a person or family willing to keep up with her energy and continue her training.
Ongoing Health
Cally is up-to-date on all vaccinations and has been spayed.
Training & Support
Cally is fully crate-trained and house-trained. She is still learning to have full freedom indoors and requires supervision to prevent chewing on items like shoes or blankets. She needs to be fed separately from other dogs. Continued leash training will help her improve on her walks.
