Colby is a brave, dignified, young male dog with a gentle and fun-loving nature. He is athletic, strong, and healthy. He has a playful side but can also be calm and reserved at times. He is very affectionate and loves to be petted and receive belly rubs. He is protective of his loved ones and very loyal. He is very smart and is a quick learner. While he is still a young dog, he already has a very developed personality. He likes things his way and likes to be independent, but still listens well and is very well behaved both inside and outside of the house. He loves people and is very friendly towards them. He is a funny, charming, and lovable dog and the perfect companion. Colby's rescue story begins in Vancleave, Mississippi, where he was discovered living in the woods behind a medical facility. The employees alerted one of our board members, who patiently gained his trust and was able to get him into her vehicle without using any traps. He has since become a cherished member of his foster family, where his stable schedule, endless love, and patience have helped him come out of his shell.
