Axel is a handsome Boxer mix who is about 2 years old and weighs 54 lbs. He has a confident personality and loves to be the center of attention. Axel was found abandoned but is now looking for his forever home. He enjoys exploring, carrying objects, and learning new things. Axel is very food motivated and responsive to clear and consistent training. He is friendly with people but prefers older children who understand personal space. Axel enjoys the company of other dogs, especially females, but can be a bit bossy during play. He would do best in a calm environment and is not a fan of cats. Axel is potty trained, crate trained, and settles well after his needs are met. He has a moderate energy level and would be happy in an apartment with consistent exercise or a home with a yard. Axel is looking for laid-back, dog-savvy humans who appreciate his unique personality.
Ideal Home
Axel would thrive in a home with older children (10 years and over) and adults who appreciate a dog with a strong personality. He prefers calmer environments and is not a good fit for homes with cats.
Ongoing Health
Axel is up-to-date on vaccinations and has been neutered.
Training & Support
Axel is potty trained and crate trained. He is responsive to training and food motivated. He can be a bit bossy during play and may grab the leash when excited, so he needs guidance and patience to learn how to manage these behaviors.
