A little about them
Meet Piper, a very friendly and affectionate dog who enjoys meeting new people, going for walks, and cuddling on the couch. She weighs around 50 pounds but considers herself a lap dog and loves being near her people.
Ideal Home
Piper would do best as the only dog in the home so she can receive plenty of attention and affection. She appears to do well with children and enjoys daily walks or time to run off leash. She dislikes cold, rain, and snow, and enjoys wearing boots in winter.
Ongoing Health
Piper is currently a bit underweight and experiences skin irritation and allergies, including redness and itchiness around her paws, tail, ears, and chin. Consistent care and baths help reduce her itchiness. When nervous, she may bite her tail but is easily redirected.
Training & Support
Piper knows sit, stay, come, go, shake, and lay, and appears to be a quick learner. She is crate trained, highly treat-motivated, and shows no food aggression or resource guarding. She is working on leash training and may pull or lunge toward squirrels and other animals when excited, though she listens to commands and can be redirected once calm. She rarely barks, usually only in response to unfamiliar noises or surprises.
Piper enjoys chewing bones and playing tug of war once comfortable. She may destroy soft or stuffed toys but has not shown destructive behavior toward furniture, shoes, or other objects.
