Colby

Colby is a curious, energetic, social, and happy pup who is approaching 6 months old and currently weighs 30 pounds. He's expected to reach a mature weight of around 40 pounds. Colby and his siblings were rescued from an overburdened animal control facility in rural Kentucky and are now in a loving foster home in Chicago. His mother is a purebred Boston Terrier, and his father is a mix of breeds, possibly including Beagle/Hound and Cattle Dog. Colby is making good progress with crate training and housebreaking, but is still learning the ropes as a young pup.

Ideal Home

Colby would thrive in an active family who has the time, patience, and energy to keep up with him. Potential adopters should be prepared to continue his training and provide the guidance and structure all young dogs need.

Ongoing Health

Colby has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and started on monthly flea and heartworm preventatives.

Training & Support

Colby is still young and learning. Adopters should be prepared to continue his crate training and housebreaking. Puppies require frequent potty breaks (every 4-5 hours), lots of playtime, engagement, and mental stimulation throughout the day.

Colby is fostered in Chicago and meet-and-greets are by appointment only after an adoption application has been received and approved.
