Meet Goose!
Goose is a spirited three-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix with speckled tan and white fur and a face full of expression. She's 55 pounds of brains, goofiness, and love! Goose is incredibly affectionate, curious, and energetic, thriving when she has space to roam and explore. She loves open areas and is happiest with other dogs, enjoying doggy daycare, group hikes, and visiting an off-leash dog park. In the evenings, she transforms into a snugglebug ready for some quality cuddle time. Goose has undergone formal training and knows many commands, including "sit," "come," "leave it," "touch," and "place." She has great recall and is eager to please, especially with treats. However, she can be sensitive to city sounds and sudden movements. She has shown reactivity to scooters, skateboards, people with assistive devices, and rolling luggage. While she had a past incident where a bicyclist startled her, it was an isolated event, and she immediately retreated. This experience highlights her need for a calmer, more predictable environment. Goose has a high prey drive and has a history of chasing smaller animals, though she has recently shown peaceful coexistence with farm cats and chickens in a rural setting, indicating that with the right environment and routine, she can adapt.
Ideal Home
Goose would flourish in a rural or countryside home with a large, securely fenced yard. She would do best with one or two friendly, resident dogs and a guardian who understands the needs of sensitive and reactive pups. Goose is good with older children, but due to her tendency to get jumpy and mouthy when excited, a home without young children is preferred.

Goose is vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Goose knows a variety of commands and has good recall. She can be sensitive to city-life triggers like scooters, skateboards, and sudden movements, and has shown reactivity when startled. Her prey drive is high, but she has shown progress in coexisting with other animals in the right environment.
