Teresa is a loving, gentle, and intelligent Labrador mix girl, approximately 4 years old and weighing around 42 lbs. She's a sociable girl who enjoys people's company and is not aggressive. While she might be a little cautious at first, once she feels safe, her affectionate and playful personality truly shines. She absolutely adores being petted and is eager for cuddles. Teresa gets along well with dogs, children, men, and women, and has shown no negative reactions to cats from a distance. She's a calm and respectful dog who prefers peace.
Ideal Home
Teresa would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. She's looking for a family with a genuine intention to rescue and a deep understanding of the needs and behaviors of street animals, who require protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer, is highly desired. A high level of tolerance and patience for a rescued dog is essential.
Ongoing Health
Teresa is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She has been dewormed and tested negative for heartworm and 4DX. She receives monthly preventive protection for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She has a scar on her neck from a past injury, but it does not affect her sweet spirit.
Training & Support
Teresa is not fully house-trained and will require ongoing training and patience in this area. She walks on a leash with guidance and can be transported in a crate, though she may be nervous initially before settling down. Her new family should be prepared for an adjustment period, as she has experienced trauma in her past and may have fears or anxieties. Patience, understanding, a safe environment, and a consistent routine will be crucial for her to build trust and bond with her new family.

Transporation
Teresa is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel. Transportation is available door-to-door via a contracted transport company. This service is scheduled for 3-4 trips per year with a minimum of 15-20 adoptions per trip. The transport fee is $400 USD and covers the journey from Mexico to your home, including all necessary legal documents and health certificates.
