Hot Dog (20260702-01)

Hot Dog is a sweet 1-year-old boy who came to us from a shelter where he was feeling unhappy and restless. He's made amazing progress in foster care and is ready to find his forever family! He's a playful pup who loves a good chew on a toy or bone and enjoys running in the backyard. Hot Dog is also a big fan of snuggles and will happily nap after a good play session. He knows "sit" and "shake" and is a graduate of a special Hamilton Hound Prison Program!

Ideal Home

Hot Dog would thrive in a home with a yard where he can run and play. He does need a family who can provide him with clear direction and plenty of playtime to help him stay on the right track. While he's very sweet with children, he does tend to jump, and this is something his foster is currently working on. He’s also a bit too enthusiastic for smaller dogs, so he would do best with larger canine companions. An apartment setting is not suitable for Hot Dog.

Training & Support

Hot Dog is house-trained and crate-trained. He’s also great on a leash. He can be a bit destructive when he's bored, so regular exercise and mental stimulation are important. He is currently working on his jumping behavior.

Hot Dog is currently located in Georgia and will travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter is found.
