Leon

Leon is a charming, approximately 1-year-old, 30 lb male Labrador Creole mix with a heart full of love to give! He was rescued in March 2024 and is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. Leon is an intelligent and obedient boy who loves to play, go for walks, and enjoys plenty of affection. He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but quickly melts into your arms once he feels comfortable. Leon is friendly with humans of all ages, including children, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats. He's a joyful and funny companion who is both docile and loyal. Leon is already crate and leash trained, which is a great start! He was found with his six siblings in a field, and now he's ready for his own loving home.

Ideal Home

We're looking for homeowners with a fenced backyard who are active and enjoy outdoor activities. Families with an open mind about the needs of rescued animals, and those with experience in dog behavior and training, would be a great fit. Patience and understanding are key, as Leon is not yet house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Leon has a clean bill of health! He is neutered, microchipped, and has received his DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines. He is dewormed and tested negative for heartworm and 4DX diseases, with a certificate to prove it. He also receives monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

Leon is not house-trained, which is common for rescued animals. We believe in giving our rescued pets the time and space they need to decompress and learn. Your patience and consistent guidance will be essential for his success.

Transporation

Leon is currently in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country transport. He can be delivered to your home address.
