River

This sweet boy is River, a 6-month-old hound mix with a big heart and a nose for adventure! He's currently about 32 lbs and still growing, so he'll make a great companion for all your outdoor explorations. River is eager to find his forever family where he can enjoy sniffy walks, learn new things at dog school, and shower his humans with affection and happy tail wags. He's looking for a loving home where he'll feel safe and cherished.

Ideal Home

River is a young, energetic hound mix who would thrive with an active family. He gets along well with other dogs. We haven't seen him with cats or children yet, but we're happy to discuss integration strategies with potential adopters.

Ongoing Health

River is a healthy young pup! All routine vetting is included in the adoption fee.

Training & Support

River is working on his crate training. As with any young dog, he'll benefit from continued training and socialization to help him become the best canine companion he can be.

Transportation

River is currently in a South Carolina shelter and needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to make his journey north. Transport is available for approved adopters.
