Melody - Beautiful Poet

Melody is a stunning, golden-toned German Shepherd, about 5 to 6 years old and weighing 60 lbs. She’s a deeply thoughtful and observant girl who, one night, even penned a beautiful poem to express her desire for a loving home. Her first home wasn't ideal, leaving her to face hardship alone, but thankfully, rescue intervened, and she’s been thriving ever since. Melody is an intelligent and affectionate companion who adores her humans and expresses her gratitude with loving leans. She enjoys walks and is excellent on a leash. While she loves to play fetch, she’s equally happy to relax with cuddles in the evenings. She coexists peacefully with horses, cows, goats, and donkeys.

Ideal Home

Melody would love a home where she can explore the world by your side. She is dog-selective, generally doing better with smaller dogs than larger ones, and would likely be happiest as the sole canine companion.

Transportation

Melody is currently being fostered at our Rescue Ranch near Houston, TX. Rescue transport is available to bring her closer to your home once a month. Once your application is approved, we can arrange a FaceTime session to introduce you. Transport is provided via temperature-controlled vans with a team of drivers who will keep you updated on her progress throughout the journey.
