Darlene in Kentucky

Darlene is a sweet 6-year-old Shih Tzu mix weighing around 17 lbs. She came to us from a home with several other dogs and enjoys their company. Darlene loves to be cuddled and is learning the joys of walking on a leash. She appears to be house-trained and is ready to find her very own loving home.

Ideal Home

Darlene would love a home where she can get plenty of cuddles. She can be a bit protective of her food, so a home where this can be managed would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Darlene was exposed to Lyme disease and was treated.

Training & Support

While Darlene is learning to walk on a leash and seems potty trained, she does show some food guarding behavior. With patience and consistent training, she can learn to feel more secure.
