Sandy is the dog equivalent of a deep, calming breath after a long day. She's gentle, thoughtful, and possesses a quiet presence that can truly ground a home. Sandy appreciates a slower pace and settles in beautifully when allowed to take things at her own speed. Once she feels safe, her peaceful nature is incredibly grounding. She's not demanding; she simply is, and her presence makes a home feel softer.
Sandy's approach to affection is slow and steady. She prefers not to be rushed and takes her time getting to know new people. She's not reactive or pushy, simply observing her surroundings from a comfortable distance. With time and trust, she begins to choose you, sitting a little closer, following you room to room, and offering quiet companionship. This gentle bond, once formed, is deeply loyal and heartwarming.
She is polite and respectful with other dogs and coexists nicely, allowing space for others. A calm canine companion could be a positive influence, but it's not a requirement. Sandy is also comfortable with feline friends, respectfully avoiding them and exuding a non-threatening energy that cats seem to sense. Walks are a wonderful way to build a connection with Sandy, helping her feel secure and connected. She would thrive in a home that values a slower pace and allows her to continue building confidence without pressure.
