Bessie is probably the most affectionate girl you are ever going to meet. She just loves to hug - meaning she walks into your arms and puts her head on your shoulder and could stay there for days. She loves to be loved on! She also loves to give the softest kisses, so be prepared for your heart to explode because this girl really is all about love. Bessie loves her outdoor time, a yard, exploring or sleeping on a porch and most of all, she loves her bestie at her foster home, Apollo.
Bessie looks like a baby cow and Apollo looks like a land hippo. The two of them are hysterical together and we would love to find a home for both of them, so that they can continue their love affair forever more, but we will consider adopting separately also, especially if you have other pups that could fill their heart!
Bessie is about 4 years old and Apollo is about 5-6 years old, both about 65lbs. Bessie loves her ball. She's very proud of it. Doesn't necessarily want to give it up, but wants to show it off to anyone that will fawn over her!
She also likes to go to the fence and greet everyone that comes to the house with a little serenade until they come and give her some love. Then, she will run and grab a toy and show off for them.
Both love being outside and on a front porch or laying in the grass all day, weather permitting, but they even love staying out on the porch in the rain! Honestly, they even love snow. Apollo also loves the water. Bessie isn't as much of a water baby, but definitely loves to watch and cheer him on. It's pretty entertaining! Bessie is a little shy of new dogs, but definitely warms up. She's got several fursiblings at her foster's house, even a paralyzed smaller girl that Bessie is so gentle and amazing with! She plays with her so sweetly. Apollo is the same with the paralyzed foster sister; they are both such big, gentle goobers!
Ideal Home
A home with a yard for outdoor time and exploring. Bessie loves her bestie Apollo and while they can be adopted separately, a home that could potentially take both would be wonderful.
Ongoing Health
Both Bessie and Apollo are spayed and neutered and fully vaccinated.
Training & Support
Bessie is a little shy of new dogs but warms up. She is very gentle with smaller and disabled dogs.
