He has remained incredibly affectionate, people-oriented, playful, dog-friendly, and eager to connect with everyone he meets. Sonny is fun loving and will keep you laughing with the games he entices you to play. He bonds deeply and loves being part of the family routine, enjoys meeting new people, and plays nicely with other dogs. Sonny is smart and responsive, communicates well, follows directions, and loves learning. He is sensitive and intuitive, feels his people’s emotions, and thrives with reassurance and consistency.
Because he is so connected to humans, Sonny can get anxious when he’s unsure or alone. To help him thrive, Sonny has completed a highly regarded Board & Train program where he learned confidence-building skills in a fear-free, science-based environment. Sonny has continued sessions with a trainer, and his trainer will be available to his adopter throughout his transition and beyond to ensure success at no cost to the adopter.
Sonny is one of those once-in-a-lifetime dogs—bright, resilient, and overflowing with love. He has won the hearts of everyone who has cared for him, from volunteers to day care staff to visitors.
