ROXIE, SPECIAL NEEDS

Roxie is a low-energy, quiet girl who mostly likes to keep to herself. Food and belly rubs are her favorite things! She's a chill and happy soul when she's by herself and isn't the cuddling type, sometimes getting a little moody. To put it simply, she's a cat in a dog's body. Her past is unknown, but Roxie does have a bite history. This aggression stemmed from a lack of trust and misunderstanding of how to help her when she felt unsure. Fortunately, she has spent several months with a professional trainer who has helped Roxie overcome many of her fears, especially thunderstorms. Roxie used to become extremely anxious during storms, which unfortunately turned into aggression. With dedicated work, she's much more manageable now, though she still needs extra attention during thunderstorms. She's house-trained, great on walks, and generally mellow and quiet. Roxie isn't a big fan of other dogs; much like a cat, she prefers to be left alone and will swat at dogs who invade her personal space.

Roxie has a bite history stemming from anxiety and lack of trust. She has made significant progress with a trainer and is now more manageable, but still requires attention and management during thunderstorms.

Roxie has been working with a professional trainer and has shown great improvement. She will continue to benefit from a calm environment that understands her needs, especially during thunderstorms.
