Dewey

Dewey is a 4.5 month old, 25 lb male Blue Heeler/Coonhound mix. This little spotted rascal came to the rescue after being dumped and left to fend for himself. Thankfully, Dewey used his puppy smarts and adorable ears to find a foster home where he's now thriving. He's crate trained, doing well with potty training, and loves to romp, play with the resident cats and doggy sibling, and chase toys. Dewey is a sweet and affectionate puppy who showers his people with kisses. He's still learning what's a chew toy and what's a shoe, but he's a smart pup who picks things up quickly. While generally brave, he can be a bit startled by loud noises like the lawnmower. Dewey is also working on his leash manners and basic obedience, showing he's a very smart puppy. As a hound mix, he'd love a securely fenced yard for exploration and sniffing, along with a reasonable activity level to burn off puppy energy before settling in for cuddles.

Ideal Home

Dewey would do well with a securely fenced yard and a family with a reasonable activity level.

Ongoing Health

Dewey will be neutered prior to transport.

Training & Support

Dewey is still learning the difference between chew toys and shoes, but he is a smart pup and picks things up easily. He is beginning to work on his leash manners and learning basic obedience.

Dewey is currently located in South Texas. Transportation is available to the East and West Coast, including Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Connecticut, and Virginia.
