Lex is the epitome of a good time, a bouncy and playful dog who is loving of everyone and excited to make new friends, whether they have two legs or four! She knows how to have fun no matter where she is. The second we met Lex, we fell in love. She is constantly booming with joy and is the queen of zoomies, kisses, and tug-of-war. When she first arrived, she ran up to us with her tail wagging and a huge smile, immediately showering us with affection. Lex loves to play with everyone, and with other dogs, she plays hard! She is a pit bull cattle dog mix with beautiful cattle spotting and super cute pointed ears, weighing in at 56lbs of pure happiness. During playgroup, Lex did great with all types of dogs, playing for long stretches with most of them. She has a rougher play style but is considerate of other dogs and good at reading vibes. Lex played the hardest with more confident females who loved to engage. She could do great in a home with males or females, though she seems to prefer the ladies. Just be prepared for them to play all day long!
Ideal Home
Lex would thrive in a home with a yard and an active owner who is familiar with cattle dogs, as she is definitely a wild child! She is very high energy and loves to be active, so a home where she can run around for hours would be perfect. We are unable to place Lex in a home with cats, as she showed too much excitement and may be too rough with them. While Lex has not been tested with children, we believe she would love them. We suggest an older child who can handle her playful energy.
Ongoing Health
Lex is a healthy 56lb pit bull cattle dog mix.
Training & Support
Lex's leash skills still need some perfecting, as she pulls a little when she wants to greet new people. She is a trainable dog and just needs some consistency.
