Riggs

Riggs is a nine-month-old Anatolian Shepherd who came to us from a 40+ dog hoarding case. While the dogs were fed and kept reasonably clean, there simply weren't enough resources for proper socialization. Riggs is a sweet, gentle, and shy boy who is still catching up on some of life's basics. He's a natural introvert who prefers a calm approach and time to observe before engaging.

Ideal Home

Riggs would do best in a home with a friendly, confident dog to help him feel secure and learn the ropes. A fenced yard is a must for his safety and because he's still a bit wary of loud noises and commotion. He would also do well with children over 10 who can be calm and respectful, as he's not a fan of high-energy play or loud children. Riggs loves a consistently comfortable indoor temperature and would prefer to avoid noisy holidays like the Fourth of July.

Training & Support

Riggs is shy and will need a patient family who can provide structure, kindness, and time to help him blossom. He's still learning to navigate the everyday world and will benefit from a calm and predictable environment.
