Ace

My name is Ace, and I'm a 6-year-old boy who has been at the shelter longer than any other dog. I came from a hoarding situation where I didn't get much love or care. Because of legal proceedings, I wasn't available for adoption at first, and by the time I was, it felt like I had been forgotten. Despite my long wait, I still have a lot of love to give and a playful spirit. I absolutely love to run and will chase a tennis ball all day long! I'm looking for a family who understands that I have trust issues and can be protective of my toys, as I never had many of my own.

I take daily medication to manage seizures. I am neutered and up-to-date on all my vaccines.

Training & Support

I can be a bit of a toy hoarder due to my past. The shelter staff are committed to working with my new family before, during, and after adoption to ensure my success. Due to my extended stay and some Malinois-like tendencies, I will require several supervised visits with staff to ensure everyone is comfortable before I go home.

Transportation

I am currently at the Orangeburg SPCA, located at 225 Ruf Road, Orangeburg, SC. We are open for visits Monday–Friday: 10 AM – 4 PM, Wednesday: 10 AM - 2 PM, and Saturday: 10 AM – 4 PM. We are closed on Sundays. We can discuss appointments outside of our operating hours. I am also available to be pulled by a rescue organization.
