Meet Hachi!
Hachi is an estimated 2-year-old, 50-pound bundle of love with a heart of gold and a story of resilience. He spent most of his life in an outdoor kennel, a victim of a hoarding situation, where he never knew the warmth of a loving home. Despite his past, Hachi's spirit remained soft, and he's now a total love bug who truly treasures the simple things in life, like belly rubs and a cozy bed. He's wonderfully gentle with kids and is a people-pleaser through and through, always eager to make new friends. Hachi is crate trained and potty trained, and while he's still working on gaining a little weight (his ideal is closer to 60 lbs!), he's ready to settle into his forever home. He enjoys car rides and is a medium-energy companion who loves both adventure and relaxing cuddles.
Ideal Home
Hachi is looking for a home where he's included, cherished, and loved. He thrives with people and would love to experience the life he was always meant to have.
Ongoing Health
Hachi is still working on gaining weight after years of being underfed. His ideal weight is closer to 60 lbs, so he'll need a home that can provide him with tasty treats to help him reach his goal.
Training & Support
Hachi is crate trained and potty trained. He does best with slow introductions to other dogs and tends to get along better with confident dogs. He can sometimes try to be the "big tough guy" with more timid dogs.
