Sandy is a one-year-old Lab/Pit Bull mix with a beautiful silvery-gray coat, a smile that could win awards, and a heart devoted to her people. She's a dog who wants to be part of the family through and through. Sandy adores children and is happy to follow them around, join in playtime, and be included in every family activity. She loves her toys, enjoys carrying them around, playing fetch, and showing them off. She gets the cutest zoomies, especially in the morning, and is very food motivated, eager to learn new skills for a tasty reward. Sandy is also a wonderful crate companion, settles quietly, and is a great passenger in the car, though she'd rather spend time at home with her family. She enjoys the company of other dogs, especially smaller ones, and shows good social awareness. She has even lived around chickens and did well with them. Sandy is a sensitive soul who can sometimes feel overwhelmed by too much attention. While she loves affection, she prefers relationships that develop at her own pace. New people and direct attention can make her unsure, but once she knows you're a friend, her sweet personality shines.

Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
