Carmilla

Carmilla is an approximately 5-year-old Doberman mix who weighs around 50 lbs. She has a docked tail and a coarse coat. Carmilla was found as a stray near the airport in Houston and was seen on the streets for a few weeks before being located and picked up thanks to social media. She didn't have a microchip, and after extensive postings, it's believed no one is looking for her. She's now with a rescue that loves Dobermans. She previously tested positive for hookworms and heartworms but has been treated and now tests negative. Her body shows signs of having had puppies before, and she has scars on her head and worn-down front teeth, which can be common for dogs who chew on chains or rocks.

Ideal Home

Carmilla prefers action-packed adventures to quiet nights in! She loves jumping into ponds and climbing mountains, and finds a day of shopping quite boring. She was fostered in the country and is enjoying the freedom of rural living, where she has been exposed to horses and chickens.

Ongoing Health

Carmilla has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She is up-to-date on prevention. She has been treated for hookworms and heartworms and now tests negative.

Training & Support

Carmilla is described as resilient, playful, independent, and a bit quirky. While her past is unknown, she seems to enjoy her current rural environment and has been exposed to other animals like horses and chickens.
