Meet Arthur!
Arthur is a charming 5-year-old, 78-pound neutered Staffordshire Terrier/Retriever mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He's a wonderful blend of an adventurous companion and a cuddly friend. Arthur was found wandering in a park and ended up at a county shelter before a loving foster family in Houston, TEXAS welcomed him. He approaches each day with enthusiasm and is ready to find his forever home.
Ideal Home
Arthur would thrive in a home that can offer regular exercise, a structured environment, and plenty of opportunities to be part of the family's daily life. While he doesn't require another dog, he would be happiest with people who enjoy including their canine companion in everyday adventures. His energy and size mean he could accidentally knock over a small child during play, so a family that understands his spirited nature and can channel his enthusiasm appropriately would be ideal.

Training & Support
Arthur is fully house-trained and crate-trained, settling nicely in his crate for extended periods. He also rides beautifully in the car and absolutely loves car rides – just mentioning them will get his full attention! While he may pull a bit on the leash at first, he settles into a good walking routine. Arthur is curious around cats and pot-bellied pigs, showing no aggression, though supervision during introductions is always recommended. He has also successfully interacted with dogs of various sizes and is good at reading their social cues during play.
