About Lucy

Lucy is a 2.5-year-old, 70-pound American Foxhound mix who is as goofy as she is loving. She's been in foster care for six months, patiently waiting for her perfect forever home. Lucy was adopted from us as a puppy and lived with her family until they moved overseas, leaving her to transition from that loss. She loves to play with other dogs and tends to take on the role of pack leader in her canine friendships. While she's doggy door trained and sleeps soundly in her crate, she may be a bit too interested in cats, as she barked at one during a recent visit.

Ideal Home

Lucy would thrive in a home that is patient and understanding as she continues to adjust to her new surroundings. A fenced yard is a must, providing her with a safe space to play and sunbathe. Given her history and potential interest in cats, a home without cats or with very cat-savvy felines would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Lucy is spayed, vaccinated, and has no known ongoing health concerns.

Training & Support

Lucy is doggy door trained and crate trained. She enjoys playing with other dogs and may benefit from continued socialization to help her maintain her pack leader role positively.
