Butterscotch is a sweet as pie, 3-year-old, 55lb girl with the most incredible wrinkles and soulful green eyes. She's a snuggle bug who loves to be close to her people, often following them around like a shadow and even claiming laps as her own. Butterscotch enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it's exploring the backyard or taking a dip in her pool. She also enjoys playtime with other dogs in short bursts, but is happy to be an only pet too. While she's mellow, she can get a bit excited by squirrels, showing her inner hound! She's been described as a big cuddler with a calm, comforting presence.
Ideal Home
Butterscotch would do well in a house with a yard or an apartment. She would prefer a home without cats, as they are a bit too exciting for her.
Ongoing Health
Butterscotch is believed to be a Beagle/Lab mix. She is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, and a heartworm test and treatment if needed.
Training & Support
Butterscotch may need a little time to decompress upon arriving in her new home, as she took a couple of weeks to settle into her foster home. Once she settles, she becomes incredibly devoted to her people.

Butterscotch is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pick-up is in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT.
