Mickie is a sweet and intelligent Chihuahua mix, approximately 2 years and 7 months old and weighing 18.7 lbs. He's a social butterfly who enjoys the company of people and other dogs. While he might be a little shy at first, his affectionate and playful nature shines through once he feels comfortable. Mickie loves to run, play, go for walks, and shower his humans with love. He's obedient, eager to bond, and will make a loyal companion.
Ideal Home
Mickie would thrive in an active household with a fenced backyard. He needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue and a deep understanding of the needs of rescued animals. Experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, or a commitment to hiring a trainer. Patience and tolerance are key, as Mickie is not house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Mickie has received a comprehensive health protocol including a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchip, 4DX test, negative heartworm test, monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive, and a health certificate with a vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Mickie is not house-trained, and this will require dedicated effort and patience from his new family. A commitment to training and understanding his needs as a rescued animal is essential for his successful integration into a new home.

- 1-2 references will be contacted.
- Upon approval, you will sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee, which covers vet care, vaccinations, microchipping, and more.
Transporation
Mickie is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our cross-country trip. A transport fee of $400 USD covers door-to-door delivery. We organize 3-4 trips per year with a dedicated transport company that brings pets to the US and Canadian borders, with final delivery to your home. You'll receive real-time updates throughout the journey.
