About Ginger

Ginger is a beautiful 3-year-old Redtick Beagle who came to us from the same home as Rusty. She's a very sweet girl, but she does need a little time to warm up and build trust. Once she's comfortable, her true, loving personality shines through! She enjoys attention and is happy to hang out with other Beagles. Ginger walks well on a leash, though she does pull a bit. She's motivated by treats, which will be a great asset in her training journey. When Ginger arrived, she was a bit underweight, but she's now at a healthy 23lbs and looking fantastic.

Ideal Home

Ginger would be happiest in a home with experienced Beagle lovers and a nice backyard. She was an outdoor dog, so she'll need a family dedicated to helping her with house training and potty training. While she's been working on crate training with us and is doing great, she wasn't previously crate trained. She's been told she's used to children and good with them, but as with any new environment, she'll need time to settle in. We don't have any information on how she does with cats.

Ongoing Health

Ginger has received a vet wellness exam and is up-to-date on vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies). She's had a negative fecal test and a FLEX4 test (Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma, and Lyme), all of which were negative. She is current on heartworm, flea, tick, and worm prevention (Simparica Trio). Ginger has also been spayed.

Training & Support

Ginger will need continued support with house and potty training. She wasn't previously crate trained but is progressing well with it. Her treat motivation will be very helpful for continued training.
