Hugo (aka Baby Runt)

Say hi to Hugo! This handsome Carolina Dog mix is about 4-5 years young and weighs around 49 lbs. Hugo is an active, smart, and playful boy who absolutely adores a good game of fetch and tug-of-war. He's a wonderful companion who was rehomed due to his previous family having to move out of the country. Hugo is well-trained, intelligent, and loves to learn new things. He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but with a little time and patience, his sweet personality truly shines through!

Ideal Home

Hugo's ideal home is in a more suburban setting with a yard where he can really stretch his legs. He's not a city dog. He would do best as the only dog in the household or with a very calm, older canine friend. He doesn't do well with puppies. A home with calm teenagers or no children is a must. An experienced dog owner who appreciates his playful energy and intelligence would be a perfect match.

Training & Support

Hugo is house-trained and knows many commands. He would benefit from continued training to help him acclimate to his new environment and strengthen the bond with his new family. We highly recommend enrolling him in an obedience class to ensure a smooth transition and continued socialization.
